From October 1st to 7th every year is China National Day holiday.
In September 2020, Tmall International launched a new upgraded business of “overseas direct purchase”, and deployed more than 100 overseas warehouses in 5 major regions of North America, Europe, Japan and South Korea, Hong Kong and Southeast Asia.
During this National Day holiday, Tmall’s overseas direct purchase transactions increased by 429% year-on-year. Among them, direct mail products based on European inventories increased by 621% year-on-year, sales based on Korean inventories increased by 607% year-on-year, and in Japan by 242% year-on-year. In the United States, the number of new products increased by 23 times year-on-year, covering nearly 50 brands of luggage, clothing and accessories.
In the coming year, Tmall International’s overseas direct purchase goal is to incubate 10,000 new overseas brands, and the number of products will exceed one million.
