Annual E-business Test Announced

The China Internet Network Information Centre last week announced it will hold a nationwide e-business test on an annual basis to promote e-business in the country. The centre will cooperate with the China Enterprise Net (http://www.ce.net.cn) in providing training programmes for people who are to participate in the test.

A centre spokesman at a press conference said those who pass the test will be given a certificate, which will be regarded as a qualification for engaging in e-business operations. The training will begin in two months, but the exact date for the first test has not been decided.

The centre is a non-profit institution authorized by the government to manage Internet-related business and to provide related services, including domain name registrations.
