IT Industry Grew Rapidly in 1999
According to Dennis Philbin, the executive manager of IDC
Asia, Asian IT industry grew rapidly in 1999.
Mr. Dennis Philbin said in Asian IDC conference that the IT
market in Asia was mature recently. Since China is a great
country with its high speed of economic growth, Chinese IT
market becomes more and more important in this area. Chinese
IT consumption is expected to increase in 24% rate per year,
from current 11 billion US$ to 33 billion US$ by the year 2004.
IDC expected that Chinese web users would reach 16 million
in 2003. |
