Higher Education Show Concluded

About 100 overseas universities and educational services from 20 countries and regions attended the 2000 China international Higher Education Exhibition at the Xinghai Convention and Exhibition Centre here.

The three-day fair, which ended yesterday, attracted 1,500 business people and 30,000 other visitors.

According to Li Rongxi, vice-director of the Liaoning Provincial Education Bureau, 40 of the province's 61 colleges and universities have established partnerships with some 200 overseas schools. And every year about 540 foreign experts and 2,000 students work or study in Liaoning. The province also sends 10,000 people to study abroad every year.
